Mia, a 27-year-old male orangutan and Hogle Zoo's newest resident, asks for some vegetables and fruit in Salt Lake City on Tuesday. Mia (pronounced MY-uh) came from the Greenville Zoo in South Carolina and moved into the Great Ape building at the end of September, where he has spent the past several weeks getting better acquainted with his fellow orangutans, 11-year-old Acara and her little brother, 2-year-old Tuah. Mia came to Hogle Zoo as part of the zoo's participation in the Orangutan Species Survival Program. Mia is currently on exhibit daily.
