Jimmy Kimmel has been inviting parents to pretend like they ate their children's Halloween candy while filming their reactions since 2011.

This year, YouTubers Ellie and Jared Mecham decided to give the challenge a try and posted the resulting video.

After telling Jackson that his candy collection is intact, Jared tells Jackson that he should blame Kimmel.

Kimmel isn't just campaigning for others to trick their kids; this year he took his 2-year-old daughter's treats.

His daughter was also confused.

Ellie and Jared's YouTube channel first gained traction when they posted about their experience with infertility and has transformed into a family lifestyle vlog.
