Mormon Channel posted an animated video narrated by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, second counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, depicting he and his mother's escape from East Germany to West Germany.

President Uchtdorf's narration is taken from a talk he gave in April 2013 titled, "Your Wonderful Journey Home."

In the talk, President Uchtdorf tells of how he and his mother traveled across a mountain range from East to West Germany. When his mother felt they were safely in West Germany they sat down to eat lunch. They soon discovered they had not yet arrived at their destination and they continued their journey until they were 100 percent sure they were in West Germany.

After the story, President Uchtdorf shares several self-reflective questions.

"My dear friends, I believe that every life is a collection of individual journey stories," President Uchtdorf said. "It might be wise to ask yourself how your journey is going. Are you on the right course? Are you becoming the person you were designed to be and wanted to become? Are you making choices that will help you to return to your Father in Heaven?"
