OREM — Utah Valley University’s baseball field and stadium have been renamed following a $5.5 million gift from Utah Community Credit Union to support athletics and other programs.

The venue will now be named the UCCU Ballpark under a 10-year agreement. The name change was announced by UVU President Matthew S. Holland and Jeffrey L. Sermon, the credit union’s CEO.

The UVU team shares the ballpark, which sits at the junction of I-15 and University Parkway, with the minor-league Orem Owlz, an affiliate of Major League Baseball’s Los Angeles Angels.
