Utah residents really like to shop at Walmart.
Business Insider recently published a list of each state’s most popular shopping chain using data from Foursquare, a social media app that allows people to check-in to their various locations.
The various shopping chains include department stores, clothing shops and big box stores, like Walmart or Target.
Smaller stores, like Uniqlo and Fred Meyer, made the list alongside those bigger stores.
For Utah, Walmart topped the list.
The shopping retailer also won in Vermont, South Dakota, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Nevada, New Mexico, Montana, Michigan, Maryland, Hawaii, Arizona and Alaska.
Walmart isn’t the only popular store within the state. A previous Business Insider list showed Smith’s as the Utah's most popular grocery store.
Nationally, Walmart doesn’t fair so well in popularity. Nordstrom, Forever21 and Topshop all topped the nationwide rankings, with Forever 21 receiving the highest popularity in Utah, according to Refinery29.
Walmart sales rose 1.6 percent last summer despite expectations it would rise by 1 percent, according to Fortune. The company, which has spent $2.7 billion to give its workers raises, has consistently seen a rise in sales.
"We have a plan, and we are executing against it, and customers are responding favorably," Walmart Stores CEO Doug McMillon said in a statement sent to Fortune.
