Greg Biggins of Scout looked at the biggest movers in the Scout 100 recruiting rankings and two players committed to play for the BYU Cougars, Gunner Romney, who is a new four-star recruit, and Brandon Kaho were mentioned.

"There hasn't been a more impressive receiver out West than Romney over the last couple of months," wrote Biggins. "First he earned WR MVP at the Nike Opening Regional Camp in Oakland. He accompanied QB Tyler Shough to the Elite 11 Finals and won WR MVP at that event to earn a spot to The Opening Finals."

Biggins then broke down how Romney played in The Opening, saying, "Romney then went out and competed against the top defensive backs in the country and had no problems getting open. He's a big, physical receiver at 6-3, 200 pounds, has strong hands and deceptive speed. He recently committed to the BYU Cougars and has the talent to make an immediate impact at the next level."

Speaking of Kaho, who moved into the top 100 in Scout's rankings, Biggins wrote, "Kaho has been on an incredible run in the last few months and his stock is on fire. He had a LB MVP performance at the Nike Opening Regional Camp in Oakland and earned an invite to The Opening Finals. He had a dominant showing at The Opening Finals and had another impressive showing at the recent Alabama Camp where he landed an offer from the Tide."

Biggins continued, "Kaho is an extreme talent and should probably be rated much higher than his current No. 99 rating. He has a college body right now with high-level athleticism, playmaking ability and toughness."

Utah football games predicted

John Coon of Athlon Sports (along with other writers) predicted each of the games on the Utah schedule for the 2017 season.

"Utah has grown into a consistent pest in the Pac-12 over the past three seasons," wrote Coon. "The Utes have won at least nine games, won a bowl game and finished ranked in the Top 25 each of those years. Only one thing is missing from the checklist of accomplishments. Utah has not yet cleared the last hurdle and claimed a Pac-12 South crown."

He then asked the question, "Can the Utes finally take one more step forward and finish atop the division in 2017?" before explaining that it might be difficult.

"Utah needs to plug major holes on both sides of the ball, especially on the offensive line and in the secondary," wrote Coon. "The Utes are flush with talent across the board, but a lack of experience could pave a bumpy road."

They then showed game-by-game predictions from five writers, with all of them having the Utes winning at least seven games, including Coon and Matt Fortuna who have Utah going 8-4 as well as Kyle Kensing who has the Utes going 9-3.
