Former Weber State cornerback Devonte Johnson is back in the NFL after signing with the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday.

The second-year pro joined his third NFL team when the Panthers made room on their 90-man roster by waiving wide receiver Cameron Posey.

Johnson signed with the Atlanta Falcons after going undrafted during the 2016 offseason. He was released from the team’s practice squad on Sept. 20, 2016.
