They will meet the winner of Friday’s Apple Cup game between Washington State (10-1, 7-1) and Washington (9-3, 6-2 for the title Nov. 30 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Utah dropped a 21-7 decision to Washington at Rice-Eccles Stadium and fell at Washington State 28-24 on Sept. 29.
It proved to be a long day for the Utes to be crowned outright Pac-12 South champions. They defeated Colorado in the afternoon, returned to Salt Lake City, and then awaited the late outcome between the Ducks and Sun Devils.
“That’s alright, man. We’ll see what happens with that,” linebacker Cody Barton said before the team left Boulder. “We took care of business on our end. Now it’s just a waiting game.”

Prior to this season, Utah was the only team in the South that had yet to win the division since the alignment was formed in 2011.
