A Salt Lake once charged with sexually abusing a 6-year-old girl he was baby-sitting has been arrested and accused of sexually abusing multiple children.

SALT LAKE CITY — Two former employees of a Mexican restaurant in West Valley City were charged Monday with kidnapping their former boss.

Abigail Santillan, 27, of West Valley City, and Heriberto Marquez Rivera, 30, were charged in 3rd District Court with the second-degree felony.

The victim of the alleged kidnapping is the owner of Tacos Mi Caramelo, 1808 W. 3500 South, according to police. Santillan and Rivera were fired on Nov. 15, according to charging documents.

On Nov. 17, the couple spotted their former boss at a Salt Lake City restaurant, grabbed her by the arm and forced her into their SUV, the charges state.

The woman’s head security guard was attending to another matter when she was forced into the vehicle, according to the charges. He got into his own vehicle and chased Santillan and Rivera as they drove off.

They fled at a high rate of speed and ran several red lights, according to the charges. They came to a stop in the parking lot of Tacos Mi Caramelo. The security guard boxed their vehicle in and got the woman out, the charges state.
