SALT LAKE CITY — McDonald’s had an April Fools' Day prank that some fans wished was real.

McDonald’s posted a photo on Instagram Monday morning that showed four new dipping sauces called “Shake Sauce.” The sauce flavors — strawberry, vanilla, chocolate and shamrock — all corresponding with a shake flavor from McDonald’s.

See the post below.

The photo certainly tastes like an April Fools' joke. But there are some who wished it was real.

“Yo this is genius,” one commenter wrote.

Another said, “April fools? I bloody hope not.”

Australia: McDonald’s had a second prank for April Fools’ Day — the new McPickle sandwich. The Australian McDonald’s page shared an image of the new sandwich, which was basically a Big Mac but with pickles.

"Pickle lovers, it’s the news you’ve all been waiting for. We’re super stoked to announce the launch of our brand new McPickle Burger. It’s time to tuck into juicy, flavoursome pickles layered between melted cheese, ketchup sauce and toasted sesame seed buns. It’s sure to be a treat for all your senses."

Social media praised the idea.

According to Delish.com, you can get the McPickle … sort of. Just order a Big Mac without sauce, onions or beef and add extra pickles.
