Daredevil, the blind superhero who daylights as a lawyer, may be getting a new Marvel project in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
RPK News reports that Marvel Studios has lined up a new Daredevil project. The tweet was later shared by ComicBook.com.
- A screenshot of the talent grid did not contain any cast member or crew information, nor did it indicate if the project was a movie or television series.
Writer and actor David Hayter recently added fuel to rumors while speaking at MCM London Comic Con, according to IGN.
- ”They’re doing a reboot of Daredevil,” he said. “I loved the first way they did it, but there’s certain things that I would want to adapt from the Frank Miller run on ‘Daredevil’ that really meant a lot to me.”
Still, he later said on Twitter that he has “no inside information whatsoever on the project.
- “No, I did not ‘confirm’ a Daredevil reboot,” he wrote in the tweet. “I mistakenly thought I’d read in the trades that it was happening, and I would love to see it. (And yes, I’d love to write it.)”
There was a “Daredevil” television show on Netflix that did not connect to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, the show was dropped once Disney acquired full rights to the Marvel projects on Netflix. Since then, there hasn’t been an indication that Daredevil would return to the MCU until now.
