The Utah football program has added another commit to its 2022 class, as Idaho athlete Tao Johnson announced his pledge early Monday morning via Twitter.

Johnson, from Thunder Ridge High in Idaho Falls, is listed by 247 Sports at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds. He is a somewhat under-the-radar prospect, as his only other FBS scholarship offers are from Washington State, Virginia and UNLV.

He does have a bevy of offers from FCS schools.

Johnson took an official visit to Utah at the end of October, and a fun video was created documenting the experience to give a peek inside what official visits are like.

Johnson is the seventh player to be committed to Utah as part of its 2022 recruiting class with the early signing period now less than six weeks away after Georgia wide receiver Adarrius Hanshaw decommitted last week.
