Darth Vader will mark his return to “Star Wars” in the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” Disney+ series, and we have some concept art that shows off what he might look like in the show.

Digital concept art designer Barrett Digital recently shared some concept art for what Hayden Christensen — who is slated to return as Darth Vader in the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series — might look like in the role.

We’ve mostly only seen Darth Vader as a masked Sith Lord since he lost the lightsaber battle with Obi-Wan Kenobi in “Revenge of the Sith.” We did see Sebastian Shaw as Vader without his helmet in “Return of the Jedi,” which was one of the final scenes of Vader’s run. James Earl Jones did voiceover work for Vader and actor David Prowse stood in the suit during the original trilogy run.

The new concept art shows Christensen as Vader. It looks a lot like Shaw, only with Christensen’s eyes and face. See a look at it below or check it out on Instagram.

The new Kenobi series will explore what happens to Kenobi as he reflects on “his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.” There have been some suggestions that the show — which takes place 10 years after “Revenge of the Sith” — will include a new battle between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Back in October 2020, Lucasfilm concept artist Christian Alzmann shared two photos of concept art from “Rogue One” that showed Darth Vader’s Bacta tank, where Vader recovers from the injuries he suffered in “Revenge of the Sith.”
