Washington linebacker Josh Calvert commits to Utah

Calvert — 6-foot-2, 235 pounds — made the announcement via his Twitter account on Thursday

Washington Huskies linebacker Joshua Calvert announced that he is transferring to Utah.

Calvert — 6-foot-2, 235 pounds — made the announcement via his Twitter account on Thursday.

Calvert was a four-star recruit coming out of high school and was offered by Utah, but ultimately chose Washington.

He suffered a torn ACL in his freshman season in 2019. He did not see any playing time in 2020.

His younger brother, four-star linebacker Ethan Calvert, has committed to Utah and will be with the team this fall.
