Ariel Harmer is the editorial assistant on the Opinion team and covers Utah culture, food and travel for the Deseret News. She studied journalism and Spanish at Brigham Young University. She grew up in California and Utah and enjoys traveling the world, supporting the Argentine national soccer team and trying new foods.
