SALT LAKE CITY — Boy, have we got big plans for you. This weekend is jampacked with fun stuff in the Salt Lake area — we had a hard time narrowing this list to five.

Comedian Brian Regan returns for a special show at the Huntsman Center. “Harry Potter” actor Oliver Phelps visits the The Shops at South Town’s special Harry Potter Christmas village. A spacey electronic opus fills the Clark Planetarium. “The Godfather: Part II” returns to theaters. And downtown Salt Lake celebrates its newest mural. Read on for details.

Christmas in the Wizarding World

If you like Christmas, but think it needs more Harry Potter, this one’s for you. The space is transformed into a Hogsmeade-esque village, and is jam-packed with “Harry Potter” and “Fantastic Beasts” merchandise. “Harry Potter” actor Oliver Phelps will also be there on Nov. 7. Nov. 7-Jan. 6, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday -Saturday, noon-6 p.m. Sundays, 10450 State St. #2320, Sandy, free (shopsatsouthtown.com)

Mural trail unveiling

Downtown Salt Lake is gradually becoming mural central, and now there’s a phone app for it. The app, which launches Nov. 8, catalogs more than 40 downtown murals and public art pieces. To celebrate its release, as well as the unveiling of a brand new downtown mural, the Downtown Alliance hosts a special block party on Nov. 8. There will be live music at three venues, performance art and author readings, as well as in-store deals at Copper Common, Campos Roastery & Kitchen, Diabolical Records, Ken Sanders Rare Books, Salt Lake Film Society, FICE Gallery and Este Pizza. Nov. 8, 4-8 p.m., 300 S. Edison St., free (theblocksslc.com)

Illuminate the Dome at Clark Planetarium

This isn’t your average electronic music concert. Salt Lake band Conquer Monster hosts two nights of special shows at the Clark Planetarium, titled “Outerdimensional Exploration.” According to a press release, “‘Outerdimensional Exploration’ is a training VHS where Dr. Joshua Faulkner and Dr. Daniel Romero teach you how to use the CM-1138 android package to manipulate space-time, generate worm holes, and communicate with outerdimensional beings through the use of vintage synthesizers and ’80s computing equipment.” Far out. Nov. 8-9, 6 and 8 p.m. each night, 110 S. 400 West, free, first come, first served (385-468-7827, slco.org/clark-planetarium)

Brian Regan

Utah’s favorite comedian has returned. Brian Regan headlines at the Jon M. Huntsman Center on the University of Utah campus for one night only. Why doesn’t this guy just move here already? Nov. 9, 8 p.m., 1825 S. Campus Dr., $38-$78 (801-581-5445, smithstix.com)

‘The Godfather: Part II’

Go ahead, name a better sequel. Select Cinemark theaters are hosting screenings of “The Godfather: Part II” on Nov. 10 and 13. The ambitious, sprawling film functioned as both a sequel and prequel to the original, telling two interwoven stories about Don Vito and Michael Corleone’s separate rises to power. Robert De Niro, who plays the young Don Vito, won an Oscar for his performance. Nov. 10, 3 p.m.; Nov. 13, 7 p.m., select Cinemark Theatres, $7-$10 (fathomevents.com)
