Disneyland will temporarily close Haunted Mansion, which will undergo a two-month renovation process in early 2020, The Orange County Register reports.
Details: The ride will close down once it finishes its current run, which uses a “Nightmare Before Christmas” theme, according to the Orange County Register.
- The last day to ride will be Jan. 20.
- Renovations begin Jan. 21.
- The ride will return in spring with new exterior and interiors. New paint and trims will be added. The renovations will refresh the ride. Mechanics for the ride will also be fixed.
- Officials expect the ride to return in late March or April.
Context: Haunted Mansion usually closes down for for one or two weeks to be rebuilt to fit a new theme. This happens when it goes from its traditional presentation to its Halloween or holiday-themed aesthetic. the Orange County Register reports.

- The Indiana Jones attraction will receive upgrades for its 25th anniversary in March.
- “Snow White’s Scary Adventures” will receive a $445,000 renovation, too, according to SF Gate.
