SALT LAKE CITY — Kylo Ren is coming to “Star Wars: Resistance” for season two.

Disney Channel dropped the new trailer for the second season of “Star Wars: Resistance,” an animated show set between “Return of the Jedi” and “The Force Awakens.”

The trailer shows main character Kaz and rest of his rebellious group of heroes avoiding The First Order, which always seems to be right on the heels of the Resistance.

The trailer also reveals the villainous Kylo Ren, who appears toward the end as a hologram projection. In a menacing way, he threatens to put an end to Kaz and his friends.

It’s not surprising to see a “Force Awakens” villain appear in “Resistance.” As I wrote for the Deseret News back in January, the second season’s first trailer referenced a few different characters and events from the new trilogy. For example, Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle headed toward the planet Colossus at one point. General Hux also appeared for the first time, as did the Starkiller Base, which is featured prominently in “The Force Awakens.”
