SALT LAKE CITY — “American Idol” will hold open auditions in Salt Lake City later this month.

The open auditions will begin on Aug. 29, 2019. The location hasn’t been confirmed yet.

The event begins at 6:30 a.m.

Few details are known about the auditions other than its start date. But the event will allow media members to attend.

Back in May, ABC renewed “American Idol” for an 18th season, which will be its third on the ABC network alone, according to TV Line.

Judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie all confirmed that they will be back on the show when it debuts in 2020, AOL reports.
