SAT LAKE CITY — “Star Wars” dropped a new trailer for the upcoming film “Rise of Skywalker” on Monday.
The new trailer includes clips from all major “Star Wars” films, starting with “A New Hope,” “Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi” before showing clips of the prequel trilogy and the sequel trilogy.
The trailer ends with quick shots from “Rise of Skywalker” showing Finn (John Boyega), Poe (Oscar Isaac) and Rey (Daisy Ridley). We also get brief shots of Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher).
The trailer’s gripping conclusion shows Rey holding a double-bladed red lightsaber. Whoa.
And amid all of this, it appears both Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) provide voice-over work in the trailer, which originally debuted at the D23 Expo
