‘Dancing With the Stars’: Sean Spicer suggests ‘DWTS’ judges lack spirituality in since-deleted tweet
Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer debuted on the show earlier this week.
Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer criticized the judges of “Dancing With the Stars” in a since-deleted tweet to former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
Spicer, who debuted on the show earlier this week, tweeted to Huckabee that he wasn’t happy with the low scores he received during his performance, according to Entertainment Weekly. He received 12 out of 30 points.
- “Clearly those judges are not going to be with me,” Spicer wrote, according to The Hill. “Let’s send a message to #Hollywood that those us who stand for #Christ won’t be discounted.”
Huckabee praised Spicer during the show, encouraging fans to vote for the former White House press secretary.
- “Wanna create an emotional meltdown in Hollyweird? Vote for @seanspicer to win “Dancing with the Stars” tonight and every night he’s on. @seanspicer is a good guy and a brave sport to go on DWTS. Let’s show him some love! dwtsvote.abc.go.com,” Huckabee’s tweet read.
Spicer replied, “Thank you @GovMikeHuckabee Really appreciate your support and prayers.”
But a follower of Spicer’s caught the original tweeted response:
Spicer wrote on Facebook about his night, too.
- “What. A. Night. Playing the bongos to the Spice Girls, while wearing a low cut ruffled lime green shirt check every box I had for getting out of my comfort zone. I had a blast! If you saw the video where I started, know that everything last night was because of the amazing pro I have to work with every day. @lindsarnold is an amazing person, an unbelievably talented dancer and a patient and kind coach that has made this journey a blast,” he wrote, according to The Hill.
