“Star Wars” alum John Boyega recently told Yahoo! Entertainment what would bring him back to a galaxy far, far away.

  • Boyega said he would return if Disney ever decided to make “Duel of the Fates,” the rumored ninth “Star Wars” film from Colin Trevorrow. The film was reportedly set to happen before Trevorrow left the franchise and JJ Abrams replaced him.

Boyega suggested Disney Plus or an animated series could bring him back, too.

  • “I’m a ‘Mandalorian’ fan, so Lucasfilm is doing very well with the TV shows,” he told Yahoo! Entertainment. “An animated show would be dope! We could do it from home.”

John Boyega says he has ‘moved on’ from the ‘Star Wars’ franchise

Boyega said back in June that he had moved on from the “Star Wars” franchise, which I wrote about for the Deseret News. He posted a photo on Instagram of him sitting on set of a new film. It prompted reaction from one fan, who said,

  • “Force Finn in action with Green lightsaber dressed in black is all I want from the next SW film!”
  • Boyega replied to the comment: “lol no thank you. I’ve moved on (heart emoji).”
  • Another user said: “really just got those Disney bucks and dipped (laugh crying emoji).”
  • Boyega responded: “nope. Not into playing one role for too long. I have more to offer than that. That’s all.”
