A new “Star Wars” rumor suggests Disney will soon have a miniseries dedicated to Boba Fett, the legendary anti-hero from the “Star Wars” franchise.
What’s happening?
Deadline reports there’s a project or spinoff tied to “The Mandalorian” in the works.
- A Boba Fett miniseries is one idea being floated around.
- It would begin filming next week or later in the month.
- Production for “The Mandalorian” season 3 would come shortly after that.
Boba Fett on ‘The Mandalorian’
Spoilers here — but Boba Fett made an appearance at the end of “The Mandalorian” season 2 premiere episode. After the Mandalorian saved the city of Mos Pelgo, a figure watched him from afar. The figure turned out to be Temuera Morrison, who famously played Jango Fett and clone troopers in “Star Wars.” This is a huge suggestion of Boba Fett.
- A mini-series on Boba Fett would mean that his appearance on “The Mandalorian” is short-lived, and won’t last beyond a season.
- Still, anything can happen in the “Star Wars” universe.
More Boba Fett rumors
Speculation has been wild about Boba Fett’s future in “Star Wars” since he supposedly died in “Return of the Jedi.” Reports leaked earlier this year that Morrison would return to “Star Wars” in “The Mandalorian” as Boba Fett.
- Boba Fett might have already appeared in “The Mandalorian” season 1 at the end of the fifth episode when a pair of spurred boots stepped into frame of the camera.
