A new Marvel rumor suggests that Joseph Gordon-Levitt would join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

  • The rumor, which comes from Marvel insider Charles Murphy, says that Gordon-Levitt has “recently been in contact with at least one of the creatives.”
  • The report doesn’t identify a specific role for Gordon-Levitt. It’s also unclear if Gordon-Levitt is seeking an acting role or something else, like a director or producer role.

Again, this is only a rumor. Whatever role Gordon-Levitt could win in the MCU wouldn’t be seen on screen for quite some time.

ComicBook.com reports that Gordon-Levitt has rumored to play Star-Lord in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” Scott Lang in “Ant-Man” and Stephen Strange in “Doctor Strange.”

  • Those roles went to Chris Pratt, Paul Rudd and Benedict Cumberbatch, respectively.
