A pair of set photos from the upcoming DC Comics film “The Batman” have dropped online, offering our first glimpse at the full Batman suit.

What do the photos show?

  • The three new set photos show Robert Pattinson’s Batman in full armor while sitting on top of the Batcycle, a version of a motorcycle for Batman, according to ComicBook.com.
  • The photos show the Batsuit from the top of the mask all the way down to Batman’s new boots.
  • It appear as though the person in the costume is a stunt double and not specifically Pattinson.

Earlier this month. “The Batman” director Matt Reeves shared the first teaser photo of the upcoming film, which simply shows Pattinson standing in the Batsuit amid a red glow. The footage has been brightened to show glimpses of the new suit, which I wrote about for the Deseret News.

  • Reeves told The Hollywood Reporter: “It’s very much a point of view-driven, noir Batman tale. It’s told very squarely on his shoulders, and I hope it’s going to be a story that will be thrilling but also emotional. It’s more Batman in his detective mode than we’ve seen in the films. The comics have a history of that. He’s supposed to be the world’s greatest detective, and that’s not necessarily been a part of what the movies have been. I’d love this to be one where when we go on that journey of tracking down the criminals and trying to solve a crime, it’s going to allow his character to have an arc so that he can go through a transformation.”
