Daniel Dae Kim, who starred on the show “Lost,” has become the latest celebrity to be diagnosed with the coronavirus, according to USA Today.
What happened
- Kim announced he tested positive for COVID-19 in an Instagram post Thursday.
- Kim said he will be OK and that he plans to fight against the racism and prejudice against Asian people over the illness’ origin in China.
- Kim tweeted Thursday: “Ready for a fight? I am. Yesterday I was diagnosed with COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.”
- Kim said he felt scratchiness in his throat. He later self-isolated himself and felt tightness in his chest and body aches, according to USA Today.

- Evangeline Lilly, who played Kate on “Lost,” shared an Instagram post with the hashtag #businessasusual, a signal that she isn’t embracing self-quarantine, Page Six reports.
- Lilly wrote: “Just dropped my kids off at gymnastics camp. They all washed their hands before going in. They are playing and laughing. #businessasusual.”
- She responded to her friends: “I am also immune compromised at the moment. I have two young kids. Some people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives. We all make our choices.”
