Alicia Keys is set to premiere her new song “Good Job” during CNN’s global town hall this week, according to a press release from CNN.

The song will also be used as part of the new CNN “Heroes” campaign, which will begin later this week, according to the press release.

“Good Job” was originally written to celebrate the “unsung heroes” in Keys’ life, particularly her mother, according to the press release. However, as the coronavirus pandemic spread, Keys felt like the song applied to many people in the current moment.

“Whether you’re on the frontlines at the hospitals, balancing work, family and homeschool teaching, delivering mail, packages, or food, or facing other personal difficulties because of COVID-19, I feel you. You are seen, loved and deeply appreciated,” Keys said in the press release.

CNN will invite viewers to participate in its “Heroes” campaign starting on April 24. People will be able to share pictures and videos of people who are contributing to their communities and who are working to make the world “a better, safer and healthier place,” according to the press release.

Each week, CNN will highlight a collection of these individuals on its television, digital and social channels.

“Alicia’s new song perfectly captures the best of what we’ve witnessed during this pandemic – everyday people who have stepped up to answer the call of duty when the world needs them most,” Jeff Zucker, chairman of WarnerMedia News & Sports, said in the press release.

CNN’s global town hall and the premiere of “Good Job” will take place on April 23 at 8 p.m. ET.
