Jazz Gaming star Kimanni “Splashy” Ingram was named the NBA 2K League Player of the Week for the league’s sixth week of play.
What’s happening:
- “Splashy” becomes the first player in Jazz Gaming — the Utah Jazz affiliate for the NBA 2K League — to earn the honor.
- “Splashy” had himself a game last week, averaging 33.3 points on 56.3% shooting in the three-game series with the undefeated Warriors Gaming Squad. “Splashy” scored 44 points in Game 1 of that series alone.
- The Jazz won the series, becoming the first team to defeat the Warriors this season.
- Jazz Gaming head coach Jelani “Comp” Mitchell said in a statement: “‘Splashy’ has been an incredible addition to our team, both on and off the court. His high level of basketball IQ as our floor general has contributed to our fast start, and we’re looking to keep that positive momentum heading into THE TIPOFF tournament.”
