Josh Holloway, the newest star of the show “Yellowstone,” is being rather blunt when describing what his character will be like on the show’s third season.
- Yellowstone,” which stars Kevin Costner, is partially filmed in Utah.
What’s going on:
- Holloway recently told TV Insider that his new character — Roarke Morris — will be featured heavily in the third season of “Yellowstone.”
- “Roarke is no stranger to cruel tactics. He’s used to dealing with business on both sides of the law. He’s definitely a threat.”
- Holloway won’t be as dangerous as the show’s season two villains, the Beck brothers, but will be tied with Beth (Kelly Reilly). It’s unclear of Roarke and Beth will have a romantic relationship since Beth seems to be on strong ground with Rip (Cole Hauser). And it’s unclear how John Dutton (Kevin Costner), the cattle ranch owner, will play into this.
- Holloway said: “Beth is emasculating to most men. That doesn’t scare Roarke. There’s a spark, even though they are on opposite sides.”
What to expect:
- The show’s third season will show John Dutton protecting his home when Holloway’s Roarke comes to town.
- The third season begins on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 12, at 7 p.m. MT, on Paramount.
- “Yellowstone” has quite an audience, averaging 5 million viewers in its second season. It became the top-scripted series of the summer, according to Entertainment Weekly. And, as a sign of good faith, it has already been renewed for a fourth season.
- As I’ve written before, Yellowstone was previously filmed in Salt Lake, Summit, Weber, Wasatch, Utah and Grand counties.
