The Cheesecake Factory plans to reopen its business after temporary closures because of the coronavirus pandemic.
What’s going on:

- Cheesecake Factory expects the number of open restaurants to jump to 124 by the middle of June.
- Cheesecake Factory has 294 restaurants in the United States.
- The company said in a press release that the reopenings would be “subject to any closures due to further demonstrations and other factors related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.”
- “For The Cheesecake Factory restaurants that are continuing to operate an off-premise only model at present, current weekly off-premise sales would equate to nearly $4 million per unit on an annualized basis, on average,” the company said.
