The McDonald’s Travis Scott meal is actually had to find due to overwhelming popularity, which has left some restaurants without any to sell.
The meal — which includes a Quarter Pounder with cheese, bacon and lettuce, as well as medium fries, BBQ sauce and a Sprite — has sold out in many restaurants, USA Today reports. Specifically, restaurants are running out of the products to make the burger itself.
The restaurants are running out of beef, bacon, slivered onions and shredded lettuce.
“We’ve created a program that’s so compelling to our customers that it’s stretching our world-class supply chain; and if demand continues at these levels, more restaurants will break supply,” McDonald’s said in a memo to employees, according to USA Today.
The meal is still considered a limited-time item that will be offered through Oct. 4.
- Soon, the meal will only be available for order through the McDonald’s app, USA Today reports.
The Travis Scott meal is the first celebrity meal for the fast food joint since Michael Jordan had one back in 1992, as the Deseret News reported. Scott is a popular rapper.
“Everyone has a favorite McDonald’s meal, no matter who you are,” McDonald’s U.S. chief marketing manager Morgan Flatley said in a press release. “Travis is a true McDonald’s fan having grown up visiting our restaurants in Houston, not to mention one of the biggest musical acts and cultural icons in the world.”
