Samuel Jackson will return as Nick Fury in a new Disney Plus series, Variety reports.

  • The plot remains unclear.
  • Unnamed sources told Variety that Kyle Bradstreet — who produced “Mr. Robot” — is attached to the project as a writer executive producer.

What will the show be about?

There’s some speculation Marvel will release a “Agents of S.W.O.R.D.” series, which would be a sequel series to “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” It would be based off the “S.W.O.R.D.” team, which is the Sentient World Observation and Response Department.

That show is rumored to include:

  • Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson LMD
  • Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson and Quake
  • Taron Egerton as Noh-Varr and the Protector
  • Timothy Olyphant as Reilly Marshall

Or the show could follow the “Secret Invasion” storyline, which was a limited Marvel Comics series in which Nick Fury went into hiding. He then realized there was a Skrull invasion on Earth, so he called heroes to help combat them.

Fury appeared in a post-credits scene after “Spider-Man: Far From Home.” He appears on a space ship with the Skrull. It’s unclear if Fury is actually Fury in that scene, or if a Skrull is impersonating him.
