Over the weekend, “Star Wars” fans far and wide praised Carano — who plays Cara Dune on “The Mandalorian.”

Context
Carano has been on the other side of social media hashtags. In fact, the #FireGinaCarano hashtag made headlines after fans called for Disney to fire the actress for her political beliefs, which she previously shared to Twitter, as I wrote about for the Deseret News.
Carano had previously tweeted photos and memes that mocked COVID-19 vaccine, Democrats, face masks and voter fraud, among other political issues.
