New photos from the set of “Andor” — an upcoming “Star Wars” Disney+ series — recently made their way online, teasing what’s to come in the new show, including a new planet.

What happened?

The Bespin Bulletin — a “Star Wars” news and rumors podcast — recently posted exclusive photos reportedly from the set of “Andor,” an upcoming “Star Wars” project.

  • The photos show green screens being set up at a filming location in Buckinghamshire.
  • These photos — which tease what’s to come in the show — indicate that “ filming will begin there imminently!” the account said on Instagram.

What do we see?

According to ComicBook.com, the photos suggest we might be looking at a new planet since the production stills show off an area we’ve never seen before.

  • Each of the locations in the photos include green screen tape, which means that there will be added features once the show hits the big screen, too.

Bigger picture

StarWars.com revealed that “Andor” will be “a tense nail-biting spy thriller” and will hit Disney+ in 2022, as I wrote for the Deseret News.

  • “Andor” will be centered around Rebel fighter Cassian Andor (played by Diego Luna), who debuted in “Rogue One.”

Luna previously told The Hollywood Reporter that the show will offer a new way to explore the Rebel battles and “Star Wars.”

“I think it’s really interesting to tell a story even though we know where it ends. The way you can approach a story like this inevitably takes you into a deeper process of reflection. I tend to use that word a lot. So once you know what Cassian is capable of, then there’s room for so much exploration, and that’s something that excites me a lot as an actor. I think the format of a series is amazing because we have a lot of time to explore all those layers. What happens in ‘Rogue One’ is something we can actually reflect on, and what’s behind something like (sacrificing an informant). I think it’s a very interesting challenge, the one we have in front of us. So I’m really excited to go back to that character because I really enjoyed playing him, and I was really happy with what the film represents. ‘Rogue One’ was a story of regular people. It was regular people doing incredible things, and in a way, it’s a film that reminds us of the power we all have if we have a conviction. So, yeah, I feel blessed to have the chance to revisit this role.”
