NBA 2K22 MyTeam is back with a new season — and this one will bring glory to players.
What is MyTeam mode?
NBA 2K22 is a simulation basketball video game with a number of modes, including a normal exhibition mode and a franchise mode.
- MyTeam is a specific mode where you build a fantasy NBA roster using digital cards. You can earn the digital cards through challenges, agendas and events, or open digital packs (almost like real-life basketball cards).
- Every card has a different tier attached to it. The current order is: silver, gold, emerald, sapphire, ruby, amethyst, diamond, pink diamond, galaxy opal and dark matter.
- MyTeam has a number of seasons throughout the year, which last about six weeks. Each season has a player reward for reaching Level 40, which can be achieved by gaining XP from challenges.
Quick details of NBA 2K22 MyTeam Season 4:
Season 4 will be built around the theme of bringing glory. It will be called “Hunt 4 Glory” and it will begin on Jan. 14, 2022.
Level 40: Galaxy Opal Yao Ming will be the Level 40 reward for Season 4.
Heat Check: The new season will include the game’s Heat Check players, which are digital cards of current NBA players that update based on real-life performances. So if Steph Curry goes off for five 3-pointers, his 3-pointer rating will increase.
Level 40 available now: The Level 40 reward for Season 4 is already available. Players who earned extra XP during Season 3 by completing the Showdown tier can unlock the Season 4 reward for Level 40.
Candace Parker: MyTeam will add a new Candace Parker coach card, which will give players improved stats. This is the first time a WNBA star will be included in the MyTeam mode.

New Spotlight challenge: Season 4 will have a new Spotlight challenge with the eight players you earn from throughout Season 4. Completing the Spotlight Challenge earns you a second Hall of Fame badge.
Beyond Level 40: The Beyond Level 40 reward will return. Once you earn the Level 40 reward, you can earn a Galaxy Opal option pack by completing more challenges.
