Despite not having any new content making it to the big screen, the “Star Wars” franchise still captivated fans in 2024. Here are a few highlights from the year.

Fans bid Clone Force 99 goodbye in “Star Wars: The Bad Batch,” but were able to meet new characters in the two live action shows “The Acolyte” and “Skeleton Crew.”

Fans also had the chance to travel the galaxy with Kay Vess (Humberly Gonzalez) in the new game “Star Wars: Outlaws” and feel nostalgic as they celebrated the 25th anniversary of “Star Wars: Episode I - Phantom Menace” in theaters.

Here is what is coming in 2025, from a galaxy far far away.

What ‘Star Wars’ is coming in 2025?

This year will again be without any new “Star Wars” movies in cinemas but there are still things to be excited about.

‘Andor’ Season 2

Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) is making his way back to Disney+ in the next chapter of his adventures.

After a very successful first season, according to GameRant, the story continues to follow Cassian and his comrads — Luthen (Stellan Skarsgard), Bix (Adria Arjona) and Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly) — and their journey all the way up to the days before “Rogue One” begin.

Season 2 is set to release on April 22, 2025, per GameRant.

‘Star Wars: Visions’ Volume 3

The animated shorts, “Star Wars: Visions,” first made their appearance in 2021. These shorts are not like any other shorts, as each episode is created by a different animation studio and crafted by their interpretation of “Star Wars” mythology.

Volume 3 is going back to its roots with nine anime style shorts created by nine different Japanese animation studios, as reported by the “Star Wars” official site.

‘Ahsoka’ Season 2 begins filming

It will still be another year until the next season of “Ahsoka” is released, but fans can be comforted that director Dave Filoni is on track to begin filming in the spring, as previously reported by the Deseret News.
