This week, The InSneider reported that Rory McCann from “Game of Thrones” will be replacing the late Ray Stevenson in Season 2 of “Ahsoka.”
Stevenson died in May 2023, before the show premiered on Disney+. Fans quickly fell in love with his performance as former Jedi Baylan Skoll and were left to wonder who would fill his shoes.
So how do fans feel about McCann replacing Stevenson?

Overall, fans are excited to see McCann take on this new role. One user on X wrote that he is a “solid replacement.”
Another X user wrote, “Rory is a fantastic actor and if someone can pick it up and do it that’s a solid choice.”
On an Instagram post, one user commented, “I think them being friends (in real life) really goes a long way too. Its not about doing it better or a competition, its about honoring his friend.”
McCann is well known performance as Hound in “Game of Thrones.” But he is also noted for his roles in “Thor,” “Knuckles” and, most recently, “Gladiator II.”
