As pop star Meghan Trainor prepares to release her new album next week, she’s shared a shocking announcement with fans: She is canceling her entire summer tour.

Meghan Trainor cancels tour — including Utah stop

Trainor, who rose to fame in 2014 with the hit song “All About That Bass,” shared on Thursday that she has decided to cancel her “Get in Girl” tour this summer.

The announcement comes three months after the birth of her daughter, Mikey Moon, via surrogate.

“Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour, and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take on right now, and I need to be home and present for each and all of them at this time,” Trainor shared with her 18 million followers on Instagram.

The two-month tour was scheduled to come to the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah, on Aug. 3. That tour date no longer appears on the venue’s website.

“I know this will come as a disappointment to my fans, and I am so sorry to let you down,” Trainor continued in her post. “But I know this is the right decision for my family and me right now. I promise I’ll be back soon, and I can’t wait for you to hear this new record. I’m so proud of it and I’m endlessly grateful for your love and support always.”

Meghan Trainor releasing ‘Toy with Me’ album

Trainor, who won the Grammy for best new artist in 2016, releases her “Toy with Me” album next Friday, April 24.

The album, she told Fashion Magazine last year, has a double meaning, alluding to childhood innocence and the confidence she’s gained in adulthood.

“I wish people could hold my album and feel like a kid again: We’re young; nothing’s wrong,” she said, before shifting to the album’s other meaning. “People can say whatever they want about me and try to hurt me and mess with me. I’m like: ‘Toy with me. Bring it. I’m stronger than ever now.’”

Trainor told Fashion Magazine that she’s been working on herself and is at peace. In 10 years, she said, she sees herself “deep in mom mode.”

The singer is married to “Spy Kids” actor Daryl Sabara, and has three children. Her youngest, Mikey Moon, was born on Jan. 18.

“Our baby girl Mikey Moon Trainor has finally made it to the world thanks to our incredible, superwoman surrogate,” Trainor shared in an Instagram post at the time. “We are forever grateful to all the doctors, nurses, teams who made this dream possible. We had endless conversations with our doctors in this journey and this was the safest way for us to be able to continue growing our family. We are over the moon in love with this precious girl. Riley and Barry have been so excited, they even got to choose her middle name. We are going to enjoy our family time now, love you all.”

What other shows are playing at the Maverik Center?

While Trainor is no longer performing at the Maverik Center this year, the Utah venue still has a big lineup of artists, including Charlie Puth, who performed the national anthem at the Super Bowl earlier this year; Josh Groban, with special guest Jennifer Hudson; the Avett Brothers; Olivia Dean; and Doja Cat.
