A long list of previously unconnected fan-favorite Marvel characters will be uniting in the upcoming movie “Avengers: Doomsday” this December, and fans just got their first real look at the team in the recently released trailer for the movie.

Marvel released the first full trailer for “Avengers: Doomsday” on Monday.

“Avengers: Doomsday,” which comes to theaters on Dec. 18, will be the 39th movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie is also meant to set up the events of “Avengers: Secret Wars,” which will be released on Dec. 27, 2027, per ABC News.

The first full trailer for the highly anticipated movie is jam-packed with characters and action. It also gives fans the first glimpse of Robert Downey Jr. — who previously played Iron Man in the MCU — in his new role as the villain Doctor Doom.

Doctor Doom is shown facing off against Chris Hemsworth’s Thor in battle; Downey’s Doom is wearing a mask in all of the footage.

Thor is at the center of the trailer, warning the other superheroes about Doom’s threat. It also shows Thor reuniting with Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, who retired at the end of “Avengers: Endgame.”

The rest of the trailer shows how three separate groups of Marvel characters — the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men — come together. This includes the Avengers cordially meeting with the Fantastic Four and some of the Avengers facing off with members of the X-Men throughout the trailer. There are also various Marvel heroes, such as Shang-Chi and the Wakandans, who are shown in the trailer as well.
