Open house and dedication dates for three Latter-day Saint temples in South and Central America were announced Monday by the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The open house and dedication dates for all three of these soon-to-be-dedicated houses of the Lord in Brazil, Guatemala and Nicaragua land in the second half of 2026.

The dates are as follows:

The Belo Horizonte Brazil Temple will be dedicated Sunday, Aug. 16, following a free public open house period that will run every day from June 13 to June 27 (excluding Sundays).

A media day for the Belo Horizonte temple will be held June 10, and tours for invited guests will be held June 11-12.

The Miraflores Guatemala City Guatemala Temple will be dedicated Sunday, Oct. 11, by Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.

The Miraflores Guatemala City temple’s dedication will follow a free public open house period that will run every day (excluding Sundays) from Aug. 27 to Sept. 12. It will also follow a media day on Aug. 24 and tours for invited guests on Aug. 25-26.

The Managua Nicaragua Temple will be dedicated Sunday, Oct. 18, by Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.

A free public open house period for the Managua temple will run every day (excluding Sundays) from Sept. 10 to Sept. 26. It will follow a media day on Sept. 7 and tours for invited guests on Sept. 8-9.

Dedicatory sessions for all three temples will be broadcast to all church units in their respective temple districts.

Latter-day Saints in these districts will be able to join their temple’s dedicatory session through a 10 a.m. broadcast and a 2 p.m. rebroadcast on the day of their temple’s dedication.

The Managua Nicaragua Temple will be the first Latter-day Saint temple to operate in the Central American country.

It was first announced in 2018 and is one of 29 temples announced by former Church President Russell M. Nelson that were the first announced for their respective nations or territories.

The Belo Horizonte Brazil Temple is one of 24 temples in various stages of construction in Brazil.

Of the South American country’s 24 temples, a dozen are currently in operation, five are under construction, one is scheduled for dedication and six are in planning/design stages.

As for the Miraflores Guatemala City temple, it will be the fourth dedicated and operating temple in Guatemala.

A fifth temple for Guatemala — the Huehuetenango Guatemala Temple — is currently under construction and a sixth — the Retalhuleu Guatemala Temple — is currently in planning/design stages.
