SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell is an NBA All-Star with a huge shoe contract who has dropped 50 points in multiple playoff games, achievements that only the tiniest percentage of people will ever reach.
But on Monday, he played a role that is perhaps more relatable — that of obnoxious big brother.
Mitchell shared on his Instagram story a video of him invading his sister Jordan’s virtual learning Zoom college class (she is a high-level athlete in her own right as a freshman lacrosse player at American University). As Jordan Mitchell was trying to focus on her laptop, Donovan snuck up behind her, holding a sign that said, “Hey guys!”

Jordan Mitchell was visibly embarrassed (“Stop, Donovan! I can’t hear,” she said), but big brother kept at it, waving at the camera and continuing to hold up the sign. Sister started the ignoring tactic, but then she began shooshing him away. The video ended with him appearing to stand up and leave the room.
