SALT LAKE CITY — Utah has a school record nine players invited to the upcoming NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. Workouts are scheduled for Feb. 24-March 1.

The Utes will be represented by running back Zack Moss, the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year, and eight guys on the other side of the ball — defensive end Bradlee Anae, linebacker Francis Bernard, safety Julian Blackmon, safety Terrell Burgess, defensive tackle Leki Fotu, defensive back Javelin Guidry, cornerback Jaylon Johnson, and defensive tackle John Penisini.

“It is not hard to figure out why we were formidable on defense this past year and why we had statistically one of the best defenses we have ever had at Utah. It is going to be a big challenge replacing those guys” — Utah coach Kyle Whittingham

“It is not hard to figure out why we were formidable on defense this past year and why we had statistically one of the best defenses we have ever had at Utah,” said head coach Kyle Whittingham. “It is going to be a big challenge replacing those guys.”

Utah State netted three invitations to the combine — linebacker Tipa Galeai, quarterback Jordan Love and linebacker David Woodward.

BYU, Southern Utah and Weber State will not be represented.

Pro Days are set for Utah State on March 27, Utah on March 28 and BYU on March 29.

The 2020 NFL draft is scheduled for April 23-25 in Las Vegas.
