The Deseret News’ commitment to covering high school sports through the years has always been about promoting great kids doing great things athletically. This spring, COVID-19 is preventing us from doing that — which extends to the postseason as well as we won’t be able to select an all-state boys lacrosse team in the first season lacrosse was a sanctioned UHSAA sport.
Those all-state teams would’ve inevitably featured numerous seniors who ended their careers with a bang this spring. Because it’s impossible to know which of those seniors would’ve excelled the most, the Deseret News is excited to honor all 314 seniors whose final season was cut short by a pandemic.
