Jackson Bowers arrived at BYU as a highly coveted four-star prospect.

Following two seasons in Provo where the tight end didn’t have a single catch, however, Bowers entered the transfer portal.

Now, the Arizona native has made a decision on his next college destination.

Bowers announced on social media Thursday that he’s headed to Oregon State.

Oregon State has been busy in the transfer portal — that included adding former Duke quarterback Maalik Murphy, who also committed to the Beavers on Thursday.

What kind of recruit was Jackson Bowers?

Bowers was rated a four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class and the No. 23 tight end nationally in 247 Sports’ composite rankings.

At the time he committed to BYU, the Mesa, Arizona, product also held offers from Alabama, Texas, Utah and a number of other Power Four programs.

Bowers played a total of 10 snaps and did not record any statistics in his two seasons at BYU.
