BYU’s leading receiver this season will be back for more in 2025.

On Saturday night, Chase Roberts announced on social media that he will return to the Cougars for his senior campaign next year instead of entering April’s NFL draft.

It had appeared that Roberts might pursue his professional career, as he was honored on senior night this season. Earlier this week, he told reporters that he was “pretty set” on a decision and that he would announce it at some point during the weekend.

The 6-foot-4, 210-pound Roberts led the Cougars in 2024 in catches (51) and receiving yards (843) and tied for the team lead with Darius Lassiter with four receiving touchdowns.

For his career, Roberts has tallied 115 catches for 1,773 yards with 12 touchdowns.

Even as he was mulling his future, he said this week that he never considered opting out of next Saturday’s Alamo Bowl against Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter and the Colorado Buffaloes.

In 2025, Roberts is primed to lead a receiving corps that is expected to also return Keelan Marion, Jojo Phillips and Parker Kingston.
