Region 9 are the kings and queens of 4A competitive cheer once again.

Snow Canyon won the 4A state title in the all-girls division at UVU on Friday, while Crimson Cliffs took home the title in the 4A co-ed division.

For Crimson Cliffs coach Becky Erickson, the title was the third straight for her co-ed squad as it beat runner-up Desert Hills. Payson, Mountain View and Green Canyon rounded out the top five.

Crimson Cliffs finished first in two of three categories en route to the three-peat.

Desert Hills won the 4A all-girls state title last year, but this year participated in the co-ed division and earned the second-place trophy.

In this year’s all-girls competition, Snow Canyon claimed the title after last year’s runner-up finish. It previously won the state title in 2023.

Ridgeline, Stansbury, West Field and Timpanogos round out the top five in the all-girls competition

This is the third year the UHSAA has sanctioned competitive cheer and handed out state championship trophies.
