Rashid Shaheed isn’t going anywhere.
The former Weber State star and Pro Bowl return specialist is staying in Seattle, agreeing to a three-year, $51 million deal to stay with the Seahawks, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.
That will include $34.7 million in guaranteed money, agents Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey told Schefter.
Shaheed earned Pro Bowl honors for the second time in his career after being traded from the New Orleans Saints to Seattle midway through the 2025 season.
He scored three touchdowns on special teams in his half season with the Seahawks, including a 95-yard kickoff return to start a divisional round playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers.
He won a Super Bowl ring with the Seahawks less than a month ago, when Seattle beat the New England Patriots 29-13 in Super Bowl LX.
Shaheed has emerged as one of the NFL’s premier deep threats since entering the league as an undrafted free agent out of Weber State in 2022.
Over his first four seasons, Shaheed caught 153 passes for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns, while also rushing for 192 yards and another score.
Shaheed has also scored four touchdowns on special teams during the regular season, to go with his kickoff return score in the playoffs this season.
He has been embraced since arriving in Seattle, and Shaheed in kind has appreciated the opportunity to thrive with the Seahawks.
“Every man plays for the guy next to him, and that’s the recipe for winning, not only on offense, but defense and special teams. We all take pride in what we do and have fun doing it,” Shaheed told the Deseret News ahead of Super Bowl LX.
