Another BYU player is in the transfer portal — but this one never logged a single minute for the Cougars.

KJ Perry will transfer out of BYU, according to a Thursday report from Jonathan Givony of Draft Express.

Perry was the No. 1 junior college recruit in the country this past year, committing to BYU in October and joining the program in December.

However, the 6-foot-2 combo guard redshirted with the Cougars and was thus ineligible to play, and now will transfer out with three remaining seasons of eligibility.

Perry spent his freshman year at Citrus College in southern California, where he averaged 17.5 points per game and shot 49.5% from the field and 34.7% from 3-point range.
