The top seeds of the 6A state tournament, Lehi and Bingham, will face off in today’s state tournament game at 6:30 p.m. MDT.

No. 2 Bingham showed up strong in its semifinal on Thursday against No. 3 Lone Peak, and it took only three sets for the Miners to best the Knights.

Lone Peak struggled to keep up, and Bingham won 25-22, 25-17 and 25-22. The Miners now have a chance at winning back-to-back state titles.

Meanwhile, No. 1 Lehi punched its ticket to its first-ever state championship with a 3-0 win over No. 5 Mountain Ridge.

Despite the 3-0 score, the Sentinels made it difficult for Lehi.

The Pioneers started dominantly with a 25-14 win in set one. However, Mountain Ridge rallied after Lehi earned a set point in set two.

It went back and forth until both teams were tied 31-31. In the end, Lehi took the 33-31 win and used the momentum to finish off Mountain Ridge.
