Herriman 1, Lehi 0

Josh Kim’s first-half goal propelled No. 17 Herriman over No. 16 Lehi in the first round of the Class 6A state tournament, winning 1-0. Herriman’s defense held firm as goalkeeper Zach Pulsipher secured a shutout to advance the Mustangs to the second round. Herriman will face No. 1 Lone Peak in their next match.

Weber 5, Cedar Valley 0

No. 15 Weber powered past No. 18 Cedar Valley in the Class 6A first round with a 5-0 victory. Masen Keyes and Jace Rydalch each scored two goals for Weber, while Beckham Dean contributed one. Trey Jones and Tate Johnstun provided crucial assists in the win. Brody Noel secured the shutout for the Warriors, propelling them to the second round.


5A Playoffs

Spanish Fork 3, Brighton 1

Kyle Williams scored twice to propel No. 17 Spanish Fork to a 3-1 victory over No. 16 Brighton in the first round of the Class 5A playoffs. Luis Vega contributed with a goal of his own, putting Spanish Fork up 2-0 by halftime. Brighton’s Jace Perkins Moses managed to score in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome Spanish Fork’s early lead. With the win, Spanish Fork advances to face No. 1 Alta in the second round.

Northridge 3, Clearfield 0

Chance Terry’s early goal set the pace for No. 9 Northridge as they beat No. 24 Clearfield 3-0 in the first round of the Class 5A playoffs. Xabi Mendoza and Garrett Burkhardt each added goals to secure the victory, while Jonah Hensley recorded a shutout to keep the Falcons scoreless. Northridge advances to face No. 8 Skyline in the second round.

Hunter 5, Timpview 1

Kallin Banza scored four goals leading No. 10 Hunter to a 5-1 victory over No. 23 Timpview in the first round of the Class 5A state tournament. Sebastian Ramirez added one goal for Hunter, while Timpview’s only goal came from Everett Bushman. The Wolverines will advance to face No. 7 Hillcrest in the next round.

Bonneville 4, Cyprus 3

Ryker Brooks scored twice and assisted once to lead No. 18 Bonneville to a 4-3 victory over No. 15 Cyprus in the Class 5A first round. Bonneville overcame an early deficit after Cyprus’s Yairon Perdomo and Julian Madrid Iglesias found the net in the first half. A crucial second-half goal from Brooks solidified Bonneville’s position in the playoffs.

West Field 1, Fremont 0

Jackson Roche scored the lone goal in the final period to lead No. 20 West Field past No. 13 Fremont 1-0 in the first round of the Class 5A state tournament. West Field’s keeper, Beckham Miller, ensured a shutout, keeping Fremont scoreless throughout the match. West Field advances to face No. 4 Granger in the second round.

West 3, Wasatch 2

Aiden Vargas scored one of three goals as No. 22 West defeated No. 11 Wasatch 3-2 in the first round of the Class 5A state tournament. West took an early lead with goals from Vargas and Redwaan Kohistani in the first half. Wasatch’s Juan Mendoza and Caleb Balch each found the net to tie the game 2-2 at halftime, but David Baeza’s second-half goal secured the win for West.

Box Elder 3, Taylorsville 0

Jett Jones netted the opening goal and Ryder Cooper posted a shutout as No. 12 Box Elder beat No. 21 Taylorsville 3-0 in the first round of the Class 5A state tournament. Box Elder jumped to an early lead with two first-half goals, with Oscar Ramos also finding the back of the net. Ezra Shimazaki sealed the win with a second-half goal for Box Elder.

Salem Hills 2, Viewmont 1

Angel De Le Torre scored the decisive goal in the second half, lifting No. 14 Salem Hills to a 2-1 victory over No. 19 Viewmont in the first round of the Class 5A state playoffs. Miles Metcalf also found the net for Salem Hills, while Brooks Barker contributed with an assist. Viewmont’s lone goal came in the first half, but they could not muster another to equalize.


4A Playoffs

Park City 3, Tooele 1

Max Schneider, Adrian Talavera, and Tanner Pidwell each scored to lead No. 16 Park City over No. 17 Tooele 3-1 in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs. Park City took an early lead with two goals in the first half, while Erick Rojas put Tooele on the board with a second-half goal assisted by Cade Matthews. The Miners advance to face No. 1 Murray in the second round.

Mountain Crest 2, Cedar City 0

Tanner Harris and Daxton Groll each scored in the second half to lead the No. 13 Mountain Crest Mustangs to a 2-0 victory over the No. 20 Cedar Reds in the first round of the Class 4A state tournament. Mountain Crest’s Brenton Leishman secured the shutout as the Mustangs advanced to the second round. They will face No. 4 Desert Hills.

Judge Memorial 4, Highland 1

Tahj Cole scored two goals to lead No. 11 Judge Memorial to a 4-1 victory over No. 22 Highland in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs. Nicholas Moreno and Rayburn Moore each added a goal for the Bulldogs. Highland’s lone goal came in the second half. Judge Memorial advances to face No. 6 Dixie in the second round.

Sky View 4, Uintah 0

Bryson Penrose led Sky View with two goals and an assist as the Bobcats shut out Uintah 4-0 in a 4A Playoffs game. Michael Rojas and Wyatt Godfrey each added a goal for Sky View, while Griffin Young and Kade Carlson contributed with assists. Jace Carlson earned a shutout in goal for the Bobcats, who held Uintah scoreless throughout the game.

Orem 3, Jordan 2

In a closely contested Class 4A first-round playoff game, No. 14 Orem edged past No. 19 Jordan 3-2, with Benjamin Bradley scoring the decisive goal in the final period. Spencer Van Wagenen and Nephi Chumpitaz also found the back of the net for Orem, while Diego Solorzano contributed two assists. Jordan’s Billy Ostler and Kean Konold each scored to keep the Beetdiggers in contention. With the win, Orem advances to face No. 3 East in the second round.

Snow Canyon 4, Pine View 0

No. 15 Snow Canyon shut out No. 18 Pine View 4-0 in the first round of the Class 4A state tournament, with Noah Crowton scoring all four goals for the Warriors. Pine View was unable to find the back of the net as Snow Canyon’s defense, led by Terek Scholes in goal, held firm. Snow Canyon advances to the second round to face No. 2 Ridgeline.

Green Canyon 5, Juan Diego 0

Cannon Clark scored a hat trick as No. 9 Green Canyon defeated No. 24 Juan Diego 5-0 in the first round of the Class 4A state tournament. Stockton Ashcroft added two goals and one assist for the Wolves. Green Canyon will advance to play No. 8 Stansbury in the second round.

Provo 2, Mountain View 1

No. 12 Provo edged No. 21 Mountain View 2-1 in the first round of the Class 4A state tournament. Provo advances to face No. 5 Timpanogos in the second round.
